SMART CITY management in Valašské Klobouky
The town of Valašské Klobouky is known for its proactive approach to the management of urban processes and its constant efforts to improve them. Thanks to ATTIS, the city successfully manages a number of agendas such as employee evaluations, task management of city council and town council meetings, GDPR management and strategic planning. The City is now focusing on further development in the areas of updating the management documentation system, effective staff familiarization with regulations, and strengthening cybersecurity.
Current challenges and needs
After the successful deployment of ATTIS for the management of the tasks of the City Council and the City Council the City is implementing ATTIS in other important areas. These include document management and cyber risk management. The city management has decided to fully support these agendas with ATTIS so that the system users work in one familiar environment and do not have to purchase separate software for each agenda. The “data mining” will also increase the efficiency of working with the system and thus increase the value of the investments already made in ATTIS.
ATTIS as a flexible office management tool
In IS ATTIS, the Authority maps primary and secondary assets, including identification of vulnerabilities and threats, as a basis for cyber risk management. The Authority’s team assesses the risks and, with the support of ATTIS, manages risk management measures to ensure the availability, confidentiality and integrity of data and information. ATTIS enables cyber risk management so that the agenda can be expanded at any time to include the issue of increasing the city’s resilience in areas such as climate change and natural disasters, economic impacts, public health or environmental developments, for example. ATTIS is thus becoming an important part of the strategic management of the city.
Document management is implemented in parallel with risk management. ATTIS enables the precise determination of the binding nature of documents for specific employees of the authority, supports the publication of documents and the demonstrable familiarisation with them. At the same time, it evaluates the relevance of the documents and announces the need for document review and updating in a timely manner. The ultimate aim is to significantly streamline the Authority’s management documentation and increase the addressability of documents, as well as the possibility of transparent monitoring of compliance.
Future challenges for ATTIS in city management
The city plans to use ATTIS for other areas as well. In particular, this involves linking strategic management with strategic project management. This agenda allows planning, managing and evaluating projects at all stages of their life cycle, directly linking projects to the strategic objectives of the city and the electoral objectives of political entities. The solution also includes the management of a project stack and support for financial planning.
The plan is also to extend strategic management and risk management to city organisations. The city will thus be comprehensively managed as an efficiently functioning public corporation.
